Mousenne, Maurice

   Maurice Mousenne, the pseudonym of Maurice Vandermoesen, was born in Ixelles. A dramatist and essayist, Mousenne, in Bruxelles, rive gauche (Brussels, left bank [1948, 2d ed.]), presents a series of character sketches typical of the city that, together with anecdotes and colorful expressions, provide an insightful glimpse into life in Brussels in the 19th century.
