(1803-1862)
   Mathieu-Erin Corr was born in Brussels on 11 March 1803 of Irish parents who had taken refuge in Belgium following suppression of the insurrection of the United Irishmen (1799). An engraver, Corr won gold medals at exhibitions in Brussels and Paris in 1845. He executed approximately 25 engravings and sculptures. Cour died in Paris on 10 August 1862.
